Due to the Duramax radiator not incorporating a drain plug draining the engines coolant can be a messy job. - You should be able to pull the pump and backing plate free from the block now. - Flip it over and you will see the six short head bolts holding the pump to the plate youll know which ones to use here during reassembly by the short heads.
